TEACHING
GUEST LECTURES
and UPDATES
I have been teaching at Otis College of Art and Design in the Toy Design and Liberal Studies Department since 2010. During the summers I conduct faculty training seminars, run summer youth camps and have been awarded four faculty development grants. I have guest lectured at UCLA and consulted in areas related to international education development. Last year I started teaching and researching for a non-profit that serves vulnerable immigrant populations in California. The work is important and fulfilling.

September 2026 I will begin a new program at University of San Diego to become an instructional designer. As a person with a dual career path as a creative in the toy industry and also in higher education, I find my background gravitates toward equitable, more visual and accessible methods of learning complex content efficiently. My recent doctoral dissertation centered the voices of an important demographic, international art and design students. I explored areas of equity, belonging, language and career development leading to self efficacy through alternative assessment. I am looking forward to the technology and techniques I will be exposed to in this program to open new areas and opportunities.
